Nature is under assault.
The Invisible Garden depicts the natural world in its current state (of flux), what's being done to improve the situation, and how to grow all sorts of things anywhere + everywhere.
We'd like to get more nitrogen into the ground, more oxygen into the air, and more carbon tied up in plants. We'd like a bit of tree cover, to bring the temperature down a bit, at least in each of a million little invisible gardens. We want to hear more birds, and see more bees. And vice versa.
Go for the green. I mean you can go outside.
Look for signs of a natural world, whether you live in the countryside or in a big city. Go outside, take a picture, add a caption, press 'send', to the Invisible Garden.
If you have time, you can trap some carbon, generate a little oxygen. You can prevent erosion, amend the soil, plant some garlic. Or lavender. Maybe (re)think the urban landscape. Green things up. Go (re)wild.
With a free account, you can post a whole bunch of full-screen image blurbs without links. Paying members can post a practically unlimited number of blurbs complete with links to your online presence, wherever that is (twitter, facebook, instagram, linkedin, youtube, etsy, ebay, amazon, your own website, your company's website, etc., etc.).
Thanks. And because of the way we process them, so will yours. Every one of the photos on the homepage was taken by an amateur, with an iPhone X.
In nature, with a cellphone? By getting really, really close.
Of course they do. Thats's not the point. You can do a great job with a decent cellphone camera, by getting up close and personal with the things growing right under your nose (and by taking several takes).
Absolutely. Each and every blurb (post) transforms into a tweet (or a facebook or linkedin post), complete with photo, title and caption.
Sure. THE GUIDE [*] aggregates the best natural world info + images on the web.
About what? Artichokes? Urban wildlife? The state of the planet? Yes. Enter any of the (sometimes live) TALK-ABOUTS.
Blurbs created with a paid membership can include icons and links to wherever you are in social media, your website, stuff you're selling. Whatever you'd like.
Because the natural world is best appreciated in graphic detail.
Graphic Detail is a totally visual web + app platform, consisting of full-screen photos and embeddable data graphs and maps.
